How do I unlock and unfold the sub 2000???

Hello Everyone, I just got a new 9 mm sub 2000 today. I went home and wanted to get a feel for the sub 2000 so I decided to unfold it and couldnt then I realized that it comes lock and I need the special key that comes with it. I looked in the instruction manual and its says:

to unlock the sub2000 from its folded position you must insert the key and do a half turn then push the button forward.

How in the heck do I do this?? I thought it was going to be simple and I dont know in which direction I am supossed to turn the key nor which side of the button I am supposed to press(the rigid or smooth side).

I hope someone can answer this simple yet frustrating question for a new owner.

Your key has one or 2 small pins sticking out of it. Look on the upper side of your stock and you will see a matching colored piece. Insert your key into that piece with the pin in the hole, and try to rotate it either direction. It will only turn one way, but I can't remember which. You will have to hold some inward pressure on the key as you're turning it. For most if us that key goes in a parts box never to be used again after it's unlocked. Once you have it unlocked, toward the rear upper part of the stock is a plastic slide that goes through to both sides. Looks kind of like 2 thumbtack heads. Slide this forward to release the barrel from the stock. Let us know if this helped.

Reply #2 - 06/28/08 at 00:21:39 You might of locked it by mistake, I don't believe mine came locked. BE CAREFUL and don't force anything it sure open easily. Now once it's open it might take a little force at least mine did to get it to lock into place be sure to read about the position of the trigger guard. Take you time. Tom j.
