Thats it. Lone Wolf has the barrels. I have the 27 and 24 with 9mm and 357 barrels. All have been 100% reliable. You can also shoot lead bullets in the Lone Wolf barrels if you are the reloading sort.

Awesome, I've been considering trading the g27 for a g26 since I have a boatload of 9mm.  Now it definitely isn't worth it to make the switch.

They are good people too. Every time I call there I end up talking to one of the guys about hog hunting with a suppressed 9MM AR or their new AR 5.7 build. They are nice people and true gun guys. They know Glocks backwards and forwards. They are actually building slides, metal frames and now polymer frames for Glock pistols.

see, i do not buy 9mm handguns.  i buy 40 s&w handguns then add the conversion barrels.  two guns for one......and much cheaper that way too.

I can't see why this wouldn't be the best option.  The barrels are not that expensive.  Cool

go for the glock 27, get magazines for the g26 and a storm lake conversion barrel.  then you have the ability to shoot 40 s&w or 9mm

all available options with one purchase.

YMMV

New here, but heck, might as well throw in my $0.02!

I was shocked when I handled the G17 and G19. Same grips and angle (except length), but the 17 pointed high as a point shooter.  I definitely recommend fondling handling both and shooting them if possible before deciding.  I haven't sprung for either, yet, but there is one on my list.  Probably be a 17 since concealment isn't that important on this gun, I prefer something slimmer, single stack or a small wheelgun for CC.  Slightly longer sight radius is always a plus, IMO.

Just my opinion as I look for more toys.

Before buying my first I was on the fence about going 9mm or .40. Went with the 9mm in order to get that 33rd mag and have cheaper ammo. Wasn't aware of the conversion kit for 9mm at the time. I went with the 17 and have never looked back. If I want something else, I'll just buy it. I dont have a big budget for guns but selling or trading in used just isnt worth it when its all said and done. As far as carry is concerned: the 17 is a little bit of a challenge to conceal compared to the smaller models but it isnt impossible. Living in a colder state I can easily carry via shoulder strap and if I REALLY wanted to I could bring the Glock18 mag with me and still get by. Size wise there is not a huge difference between the 17/19. My father has the 19 and I don't notice a big difference. If you have larger hands you might.

Since you already have the PF11, I would start with either the G17 (if you want a nice range gun) or the G19 if you want a very versatile weapon. The G26 is awesome too, but just a little bigger than your P11. You will definately enjoy long shotting sessions with any of them compared with the P11.

Which Glock 9mm?  That's easy...

Springfield XD.   Cheesy

I was beat to the punch.  I was going to say "The one that Springfield makes", but as long as its said I guess that's what matters.  I think the grip safety makes for a much better gun, and i just prefer the feel and look of the XD's.  I've also heard it said the trigger on an XD is better than a glock.

And I despise grip safeties  -- diff'rent stokes and all that.  Wink

Even though I am a devout Glock 9mm guy (carry one every day, have for the better part of two decades now), their .45s (even the SFs) just don't fit my smallish hands well at all (6'3", 300#, 13EEE feet... and hands like a little girl, go figure!).

The XD-45s do fit me extremely well and I settled on them for my full-size hi-cap .45 platform some time ago (have 2 Tacticals and a Compact, plan to get the M version next), but I'd be lying if I said it didn't take me some time time and serious effort to get past my anti-grip-safety bias despite the quality and great features of the XD-45s.

I like the idea of buying the .40 version, getting the conversion barrel and essentially having 2 pistols in 1 body, except that I never shoot, nor wanted to shoot .40 ...  But that's just me.  Smiley

It didn't hit me until now as to why I chose the G-19 over the G-17 so long ago...
When I got my 2nd Gen G-19 (Nov '89), it was the smallest, lightest 9mm on the market and most (if not all) .380s were just as large as the G-19 and most were heavier.  The G-19 was my CC gun back then.
(Man... How Pistols have changed!!)

Heck...  Back then, they weren't even doing the rear sight swap-outs after importing.  Mine still has the adjustable "Competition" sights on it.  I thought about swapping them out, but now, it makes it more of a "collectible".  Smiley

Having never had a malfunction with my G-19, I was 95% set on getting a G-26 for CC...  Until I shot it along side the XD9SC.  Both shot equally accurate, with equal (to me) recoil, but the XD simply shot for comfortably in my hand.

In the 4" category, I can shoot my Wife's XD9 Service just as easily as my G-19, but in 4", my G-19 feels more comfortable to shoot that the XD9 Service.  Go Figure.

As to the Grip Safety...  I can see where they might cut down on "Glock Leg" incidents, especially if a person were to use their thumb to press down on the back of the slide, rather than the back strap, during holstering.  If you want a secondary safety besides the trigger safety, I definitely prefer a grip safety over a manual safety.
