Problems with Precise Innovations
07/21/10 at 15:42:05

I ordered a barrel threading kit from Precise Innovations and received an order acknowledgment, but no shipping information.
They do not reply to emails using their web site or directly to their president.  Are these guys still in business?

It would be great if someone would rent it for me. haha. I been wanting to thread my bravo for a long time. Even got a comp for it...but never got the threading kit.

If you ever get it I'll rent it from you.

Zerstoren you've been a member long enough to know better.  Actually everybody in here is currently out of bounds.  I can't change your post but I would appreciate you deleting or editting it and refusing any PM offers you may actually get.  Call it an act of good faith.

Your post wasn't out of line Airwolf.  It was a valid question.  It was the discussion and attempted sale of a kit by another member.

Thanks, but I sure wish I could see the trading posts.  I don't know how long it will take to accumulate another 14 posts (13 after this one I guess) to gain that privilege.

Could you give us the item number of the one you purchased or if you rented and how it works out for you.  I looked at their site and maybe I'm crazy but it looks like you can buy the set for $25.00 or rent it for $30.00 plus $30.00 deposit.  That makes no sense.

Confused me too but it turns out that they sell the Die and TAT separately.  No handle even though they call it a kit.
You can get the die handle anywhere.

Any hardware or auto part store should have handles. Just make sure to get a handle with a die expander. I hope that is clear?.

Never seen a die handle with an expander so the information is appreciated.

I have also purchased an East German AKM Front Sight Block which looks like a nearly perfect fit (with modifications) and should leave nearly 0.5" of barrel for threading.  The bravo sights don't leave enough barrel for a compensator (0.25") to mount securely.  The AKM sight was only $15.00.
