File the Extractor or the Receiver? - Answered

Got a new P-32 in my hands. Did a fluff and buff (it really needed it too), but I noticed the slide won't come back far enough to eject loaded rounds or even empties...I looked closer, and the extractor is digging into the receiver. Should I file/sand the extractor or the receiver?

I wanted to post to makes sure this was the route to take. Didn't realize with the LCP design Ruger took out a whole chuck of metal. Thanks for the link. Smiley

You should be good to go now...
keeping the lenght on the extractor will allow it to pull the spent case farther out as the barrel tips down

Ah, the method behind the madness. Thanks!

I was amazed by the finish, lack thereof, of this little bug, but now that I got it all fluff and buffed really good and fixed this issue, I'd say it's a great beginner gunsmithing piece in addition to being a nice little bug.  Grin

Best Regards
